Prejudice and Discrimination project.

The following steps are required to complete this group project.
Basically gather evidence using a qualitative method and present and analyze findings by following the instructions below.
  1. Select a specfic target group that is/was exposed to prejudice and discrimination.
  2. Explain relevance of this particular target group and also justify why it is important to learn about this group.
  3. Background/Literature review of prejudice and discrimination.
  4. Theories and supporting research to reduce prejudice and discrimination.
  5. Evaluation of theories and research

In addition to completing these steps in your qualitative research project answer the following learning objectives from theory and practice in qualitative research section 10.1.

  1. Distinguish between qualitative and quantitative data.
  2. Explain strengths and limitations of a qualitative approach to research.
  3. To what extent can findings be generalized from qualitative studies?
  4. Discuss ethical considerations in qualitative research.
  5. Discuss sampling techniques appropriate to qualitative research (for example, purposive sampling,snowball sampling)
  6. Explain effects of participant expectations and researcher bias in qualitative research.
  7. Explain the importance of credibility/trustworthiness of qualitative research.
  8. Explain reflexivity in qualitative research.
